I would not suggest this test if you are post-menopausal, but here goes. Place a pencil under your breasts. If it drops to the floor, congratulations on your perky boobs.
Now that you are totally deflated (no pun intended), here are the reasons you did not pass the test.
- Because of a dramatic drop in estrogen levels due to menopause, breast sagging (called ptosis) is common.
- When hormones change, the glandular breast tissue shrinks and is replaced by fat. This leads to reduced density, loss of volume and decreased skin elasticity. Voila! You now have pendulous boobs.
- Aging reduces the collagen production and thins the skin.
Don’t bother retaking the test. You will receive the same score!
